Redbridge council, advised by Drivers Jonas, has shortlisted six developers for a £100m regeneration of Ilford town centre.
The chosen partners for the 42-acre Unity Square are: Barratt Homes, Bellway City Solutions with Metropolitan Housing, Berkeley Homes, Countryside/Tesco, Crest Nicholson and Lend Lease.
The scheme will include at least 450 houses, a theatre, shops and leisure.
