Trafford Council has vowed to apply for a High Court injunction to stop a businessman selling his land to Travellers in tiny plots in an act of “revenge”.
Dermot Finnigan, 55, saw the value of his £1m Sale home slashed by £600,000 after a power line pylon was erected next door just after he put it on the market. But he lost a four-year battle for compensation.
The retired demolition contractor is now offering to sell the property in £1 plots to 500 travelling families because he says it is no longer viable as a home.
