Former group chief executive of Countryside Properties Ian Sutcliffe has joined Sigma Capital as non-executive chairman.
Sutcliffe left Countryside at the end of March, after more than six years at the helm. He was also previously UK chief executive of Taylor Wimpey and chief operating officer at SEGRO.
Sigma Capital’s current chairman, David Sigsworth, has been in the role for 13 years. He will become a senior independent non-executive director on the board.
Sigma’s partnership with Countryside has seen the investor acquire a number of developments, most recently in London, providing lower cost rental homes in typically suburban locations.
Chief executive Graham Barnet said: “Having worked closely with us over the past seven years, [Ian Sutcliffe] is fully familiar with the group and with the substantial growth opportunities ahead of us.”
