Countryside Partnerships acquires Warrington site for 1,200 homes

Countryside Partnerships, part of Vistry Group, and housing association Torus have acquired a £400m GDV site in Warrington and will move forward with plans to deliver 1,200 homes.

Countryside plans to deliver 595 affordable homes in partnership with Torus on the 170-acre Peel Hall site – the homes will be a mixture of shared ownership and affordable rent. Countryside will also deliver 595 homes for open-market sale.

The completed development will include significant public realm open space, new sports pitches and the creation of a high-quality residential environment.

Stephen Teagle, chief executive of Countryside Partnerships, said: “Peel Hall has been one of the most sought-after sites in the North West, and it is fantastic that through our Partnerships and Housebuilding businesses we will be delivering much-needed new homes for the local community.

“This purchase will help underpin our strategic growth plans for the coming years, and through our partnership approach, working alongside Torus, we will accelerate the delivery of housing and the creation of places people love.”

Work on site is scheduled to commence in mid-2025, once full planning permission is secured.
