Countryside plans more in Kingsmere

Kingsmere-Bicester-public-square-570

Countryside Properties (Bicester) has submitted proposals for 726 homes in Kingsmere, Oxfordshire.

The application, which covers 91 acres, is the second phase of Countryside’s Kingsmere development.

If the latest plans are approved, in total the whole Kingsmere scheme will provide 2,450 homes, shops, two schools and sports facilities.

The application follows the granting of outline planning consent for the first phase of Kingsmere in 2008. Extensive consultation between Cherwell district council and Countryside Properties has helped to inform the proposals.

Director of planning at Countryside Properties, Mike Lambert, said: “The plans are based on strong place-making principles that, in addition to a range of high-quality and well designed houses, will also provide community facilities and civic spaces such as much-needed sports areas. It may also be possible for us to include up to 60 extra care homes for those in greatest need.”
