Countryside Properties is back in profit, chalking up £3m (£4m) for the six months to March after its £8.1m loss for the year to September. Housebuilding was a success, bringing in £5.7m gross, whereas commercial property made a £0.3m loss and property investment contributed £200,000. It has given up trying to sell commercial schemes while the market is depressed.
