Countryside Properties has been selected by Kingston Council to develop the Cambridge Road Estate, one of London’s largest estate redevelopments.
The site covers more than 20 acres and has the potential to provide 2,000 homes over the next 10-12 years.
Savills was appointed to help the council find a joint venture partner on the development in July 2017.
An initial demolition notice was issued in July 2018, which will see all secure premises destroyed within six years.
Graham Cherry, chief executive of Countryside Partnership South, said the next stage of the procurement process would be to finalise the contracts.
He said: “We have been impressed with the level of commitment from the council and residents in conducting this competitive process.”
