Countrywide, the UK’s largest letting agent and property services group, has bought North East specialist letting agent Property Quarters.
Property Quarters, which has been operating in the North East for more than 33 years, has flagship branches in North Shields and Whitby Bay.
Countrywide co-managing director Margaret Longden said: “Property Quarters has always impressed us and we’re proud to have their team on board. This acquisition complements our ongoing growth plans in the North East through both acquisition and organic growth to increase our lettings footprint and client reach. Across the UK, we have opened 70 lettings offices in the past seven months, and we will look to continue this throughout the year.”
Property Quarters, launched by James and Maureen Lackie in 1978, has nine members, and will continue to trade under its own name.
