Countrywide Homes appoints Welsh land director

Countrywide Homes has poached one of Wales’s most experienced land managers to take on the new role of regional land director for Wales.

Martin Lewis

Martin Lewis has joined Countrywide Homes from the South Wales-based Walters Group, where he was group land manager.

A town planner, he joined Walters after 18 years with Wilson Connolly, Westbury Homes and David Wilson.

During Lewis’s 10 years as regional land manager, Westbury became the largest volume house builder in Wales, averaging 700 units per year.

Louise Grady, head of Countrywide Homes’ Wales division, said: “Martin is a highly experienced land professional with an extensive knowledge of land availability and the land assembly process.”

Countrywide Homes is a subsidiary of Countrywide Property Holdings, which currently has a land bank in the UK with a gross development value of more than £600m.
