Courtaulds Textiles has warned a £104m bid by Sara Lee would put UK plants at risk.
The supplier has announced plans to move 75% of production to low-cost areas of China and Mexico by the year’s end.
Courtaulds has already cut its number of British plants from 60 to 40.
