Coventry City Council has approved plans for a major new waterpark and leisure scheme in the city.
Plans for the £37m waterpark include a wave pool, slides, lazy river, 25m swimming pool, alongside a spa, gym, climbing wall, dance studio and squash courts.
The new development will be built on a council-owned site on Union Street in the city centre. The council is leading the project and the scheme has been designed by Faulkner Brown.
The scheme will be built on the site of the Guild House, which will be demolished.
Work will start on site in October to demolish the building and construction of the new scheme will start next spring. Completion is due in September 2017.
