The West Midlands faces another potential economic blow post-Rover with a warning from Agco that it might be forced to close its Coventry factory.
It says it could have to close the tractor plant if the pound continued at high levels and Britain failed to commit itself to the euro soon.
Meanwhile, Nissan might build its Micra model away from its Sunderland plant, putting a question mark over the factory’s future.
