MIPIM: The Cowell Group has poached GVA investment agent Barry Marshall to head up its commercial investment team.
Speaking to Estates Gazette at MIPIM, in Cannes, Cowell Group director Nicholas Cowell said Marshall will be head of commercial investment in the firm’s Estate Office Property Consultants division.
Marshall joins the business after nearly seven years at GVA, and prior to that a stint at Gerald Eve.
Cowell said Marshall will focus on commercial clients largely in London, as well as working with some overseas parties, including in Dubai and Hong Kong.
He added that poaching Marshall was in response to increased business and demand.
Marshall has worked on a variety of acquisition and disposal instructions across different commercial investment sectors with an aggregate value in excess of £800m. Clients have included Allied Commercial, BDO and Lloyds Banking Group.
