Residents of Cowes are opposing plans to develop flats and a large pier on the sea-front.
They argue the five-storey block will ruin the parade.
The Isle of Wight Council plans to sell the bandstand, public toilet, shelters and the Parade to local property developers. In return, they will get £200,000 towards the building of a new pier.
