Demand for vacant residential property helped Midlands auctioneer CP Bigwood raise £8m, off a success rate of 70%, at its 4 July sale.
Some 98 lots were offered and 68 sold, including eight prior at Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham.
Auctioneer Rory Daly said the market was still challenging to auctioneers, particularly those selling investment stock.
The firm sold all lots offered on behalf of local authorities, 83% of commercial investment properties and 80% of vacant residential lots.
“We have continued to sell vacant residential well at auction, but we are finding the residential investment market is a bit sticky,” he said.
