CPS’s Glasgow relocation falls through

One of Glasgow’s largest office deals fell through this week.

“Internal reasons” within the Crown Prosecution Service have scuppered its plans to relocate to Henderson’s and Gleeson’s Spectrum building in the city centre.

The CPS was to take 37,000 sq ft of the 46,900 sq ft (4,400 sq m) building in Blytheswood Street for 18 months, with an option to extend, at £18.50 per sq ft (£199 per sq m) while its existing premises were being refurbished.

But a source said: “The CPS is now not looking to acquire any space until it has fully reviewed its portfolio.”

GVA Grimley, which advised the CPS, confirmed that the deal was not going ahead.
