Credit Suisse completes on £118m Monument 

Credit Suisse Asset Management Global Real Estate has acquired the Monument Building, EC3, from Skanska for £118m.

As tipped by EG in October, the global investment bank has acquired the long leasehold of the 94,000 sq ft office scheme, which Skanska developed and completed in 2016. 

The 10-storey Monument Building, which is next to the Monument to the Great Fire of London, is let to occupiers including M7, TwentyFour Asset Management, Booking.com and Portugese bank Caixa Geral de Depositos.

Savills launched the building last April with a price tag of £130m – a net initial yield of 4.6%.

Christoph Schumacher, global head of real estate at Credit Suisse Asset Management, said: “The prime location of this building in the heart of the City of London makes it a highly attractive asset.”
