Crest Nicholson says it looks forward to making further inroads into what it sees as a huge urban regeneration market.
The statement came with the announcement of full-year pretax profits at the top end of expectations, up 10% from £74.6m to £82.1m on turnover up from £574m to £643.2m.
A twofold increase in social housing lifted the results.
The company said ethical house building was the future and it was leader in the field. It is talking to local agencies such as police, schools and local authorities to ensure property services are offered to build sustainable communities.
The housebuilder warned government plans to build cheap starter homes were in danger of replicated the estates of box-like houses of the 1970s.
