Crest switches on in Bristol

Crest Nicholson has completed its purchase of the landmark former Electricity House on Colston Avenue, Bristol, for a £27m residential scheme.

The office building has been sold by Bristol-based property company Cubex Land.

Crest Nicholson will develop the Grade II-listed Portland stone building into a six-storey scheme comprising 85 luxury flats together with a concierge lobby and circa 12,000 sq ft of commercial space on the ground floor.

Work is due to start on site in June with a sales launch due early 2015.

Ben Miller, development director for Crest Nicholson South West, said: “We are thrilled to be able to begin work on the iconic Electricity House. Our commitment and investment to this project will ensure a new lease of life for this prominent building, providing high-specification apartments in the heart of the city centre.”
