Crosby Homes has picked up two sites in central Leeds for residential development with an end value around £60m.
The single biggest deal involves the acquisition of a part of Town Centre Securities’ (TCS) Whitehall Road site for 300 flats in a 14-storey building. TCS currently has consent for 27,870 sq m (300,000 sq ft) of residential, leisure and offices on a 4ha (6 acres). Crosby is thought to be paying around £4m for its 0.8ha (2 acre) chunk of the site.
On an adjacent strip of land, Crosby has paid landowner Miller Gregory about £2m for a 0.4ha (1 acre) site on which it is building a £20m scheme comprising 150 flats. Completion is due in 2001.
