The Crown Estate has made three new hires in its London development team, as it looks to broaden its pipeline across the portfolio.
It has appointed Kristy Lansdown as head of development leading the London team, James Atherton as development director, and Andy Goodenough as commercial and cost director.
Lansdown will report directly to Simon Harding-Roots, managing director for London. Atherton will be in charge of development projects across the Regent Street portfolio and Goodenough will drive forward project procurement, contracting and commercial management.
Lansdown has joined from Lendlease Europe where she spent 17 years and most recently served as project director for Elephant Park and the International Quarter London in Stratford. During her career she has worked on the design, planning and delivery of large-scale projects across residential, office and retail uses with a focus on public realm and placemaking.
Atherton joins after 15 years with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield where he was development director. During this time he was responsible for retail, office, hotel and land management at Westfield Stratford City.
Goodenough joins from Qatari Diar, where he was commercial director.
The latest hires follow the appointment of David Semple and Ines Jorge as development managers in the St James’s submarket.
Harding-Roots said: “We are pleased to welcome a number of new colleagues to our development team over the past few months who bring a breadth of experience and will play a key part in supporting our emerging ambitions to reinvigorate and reimagine our portfolio in the West End.
“Kristy’s role in particular will be vital in looking at that broader strategic approach, how we can draw districts and neighbourhoods together, and foster vibrant, diverse, and sustainable environments for our communities, rather than focusing simply on the development of individual assets.”
