The Crown Estate has appointed a new member to its board.
Juliet Davenport will take a seat on the board from 1 September. Davenport is chief executive of Good Energy Group, a 100% renewable energy company, which she founded in 2002, an Innovate UK council member, vice president of the Energy Institute and on the board of the Renewable Energy Association.
Crown chairman Robin Budenberg said Davenport’s knowledge of the renewable energy sector would be “invaluable” as the company embarked on the next phase of growth of its offshore wind business.
Davenport said: “Never has the challenge of a cleaner, greener future for everyone been more important. This is a business with a unique role to play in supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future, whether through its role in offshore renewables or through the places it creates. I look forward to working with the board and the leadership team.”
