The Crown Estate has announced the appointment of former TH Real Estate chief executive James Darkins as a non-executive director on its main board.
Darkins was with TH Real Estate for 17 years, leading the company’s expansion in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Sir Stuart Hampson, chairman of The Crown Estate, said: “I’m very pleased to announce James’ appointment to The Crown Estate Board. I am confident that his experience in the international property sector will help us to continue to think bigger about how we create value through the partnerships we have and the global business and retail destinations that we create.”
Darkins is married to Jane Hamilton who was European head of corporate real estate at HSBC until her recent retirement.
