Crown Estate restructures management team

Alison-Nimmo-THUMB.jpegThe Crown Estate has restructured its management.

From 1 April next year its executive committee will comprise chief executive Alison Nimmo (pictured) alongside three newly created roles – chief financial officer, chief investment officer and chief operating officer.

Investment and asset management director Paul Clark will be chief investment officer. He will manage the businesses portfolio areas. Director of corporate affairs Judith Everett has been appointed chief operating officer, overseeing the business’s support functions such as corporate affairs, human resources, health and safety, and facilities management; and finance director John Lelliott will become chief finance officer for the next 18 months while recruitment for a permanent replacement takes place.

James Cooksey has been promoted from head of central London to director of central London, with overall responsibility for the Crown’s Regent Street and St James’s portfolios.

As a result of the role of general counsel and business operations separating into two different areas, Vivienne King will leave the business to pursue new opportunities in December. Recruitment is taking place for a new role of general counsel and company security, reporting to Nimmo.

Nimmo said: “With assets under management totalling £13bn, I’m confident that this new executive leadership team and structure will be well placed to continue outperforming the market by delivering value beyond financial return, creating world-leading business and retail destinations and driving investment in the UK’s renewable energy industry.”
