The Crown Estate has sold two sites in south-west England to David Wilson homes.
The Nerrols and Lay Wood sites will provide a combined total of 590 homes for Taunton, Somerset, and Devizes, Wiltshire.
Steve Melligan, strategic land manager at The Crown Estate, said the schemes would include open space and education facilities.
