Capital & Regional finance director Charles Staveley is to step down from the board next week (15 August).
He will leave the company later in the year following a transition period to “pursue other business interests”, the company said in a statement this morning (6 August).
He will be succeeded on an interim basis by Stuart Wetherly, currently director of operational finance and reporting and company secretary, until the company finds a permanent replacement.
Hugh Scott-Barrett, chairman at Capital & Regional, said: “[Staveley] played an instrumental part in effectively navigating the Company through some complex challenges following the global financial crisis and helped to establish Capital & Regional as what is now a successful REIT with a focused portfolio and a strong balance sheet.”
