Cushman & Wakefield appoints new supply chain lead

Michael Carson has joined Cushman & Wakefield as supply chain and logistics advisory lead in EMEA.

He joins from Libra Europe Consulting where he was group commercial director. Prior to that he spent five and a half years at SIG, a supplier of insulation and sustainable building products, where he was supply chain director for its exteriors division.

At Cushman & Wakefield, Carson will provide strategic and operational supply chain advice to occupiers across the EMEA region. He will sit within the firm’s global occupier services business.

Tim Crighton, head of logistics and industrial EMEA, said: “We are in a transformative period for supply chains and while the reasons pre-date the pandemic, it has, along with geopolitical and economic crises, intensified the demand for specialist advice. Michael’s insight and experience will be a huge benefit to our clients.

“Michael sees real estate in the context of supply chain and business impact, where it becomes a critical component in producing margin and driving a successful and sustainable business. That is where things get especially interesting for our clients – when location, format and specification create value that goes well beyond simply getting a better deal on a property transaction.”

Carson added: “My background is supporting companies in unlocking significant supply chain opportunities across a wide range of sectors, from B2B distribution, retail, manufacturing and fashion to elite sports. I am looking forward to bringing that expertise to bear on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield’s clients as part of a world-class advisory function.”
