Cushman & Wakefield has hired West End agent Miles Payne from BNP Paribas Real Estate, in a move that will see the investment specialist become a partner at his new firm.
Payne will join Cushman & Wakefield’s London capital markets team in the new year, after three years at senior director level at BNP PRE.
He has acted on more than £1bn of transactions in the London market during that time, advising clients including L&G, Patrizia, M&G and scientific research institute CERN’s pension fund.
Richard Womack, co-head of London capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are always looking to support our investor clients with the very best advice and insight, and Miles will deliver that and more when he joins.
“He is an experienced adviser whose expert knowledge of the West End market and track record of delivery will benefit our clients and strengthen our team, which is engaged on an exciting pipeline of activity in central London.”
Payne will be based at Cushman & Wakefield’s West End office in Portman Square, where he will work closely with international partners Richard Womack and Fergus Keane and the West End capital markets team.
Recent deals on which Cushman & Wakefield’s London capital markets team has advised include Aldgate Developments’ off-market sale of the One Braham office development, E1, for more than €500m, and Kennedy Wilson’s acquisition of One Embassy Gardens, SW8, for £177.5m.
