CVC is to pay Mid Europa Partners just over €1bn to acquire Polish convenience store chain Zabka, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Zabka operates 4,500 franchised stores.
CVC edged out TPG in the race to buy the company, arranging financing and signing a deal within hours.
