Cushman & Wakefield has appointed former GE Capital executive James Spencer-Jones as head of EMEA structured finance.
Spencer-Jones has more than 20 years’ experience in banking. In addition to his time at GE Capital he has worked for NM Rothschild and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
While at GE Capital he was head of the European debt origination business, where he built and led a team that lent $6.5bn (£5bn) before its closure in 2015.
He has worked across debt advisory and loan sales and will be able to help deliver a broad finance advisory business within the capital markets business.
Jan-Willem Bastijn, head of EMEA capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “James is well known and respected across both the real estate and financial markets. His expertise in structuring complex transactions on a wide variety of asset classes and across jurisdictions, along with his experience of building teams and businesses, will be invaluable to our continued growth. We are delighted to welcome James on board.”
