Polly Plunket-Checkemian, an equity partner at Cushman & Wakefield, has joined Broadgate Estates in the newly created role of strategy director.
She will sit on the executive board of British Land’s property management company.
She held various senior roles during a 13-year career at C&W, including leading the property and asset management business, sitting on the UK board and most recently as EMEA head of research and insight.
The appointment comes after C&W’s equity partners were offered a pay deal by the company’s new owner, a TPG-led consortium, after its merger with DTZ.
C&W confirmed last week that 90% of the UK equity partners had signed the deal.
In her new role Plunket-Checkemian will help Broadgate Estates win more business from other landlords and drive the firm’s innovation.
She has worked on London estates and trophy assets including Holborn Links, WC1; Berkeley Square, W1; Regent Street, W1; and 110 Bishopsgate, EC2.
Broadgate Estates chief executive Steve Whyman said: “Polly will help us build on innovations we have brought to the industry and help to drive forward our thought leadership, service innovations and direction.”
