CWM and Savills have both expanded their retail businesses this week by buying niche agents.
Retail specialist CWM has bought Glasgow-based agency Colin Whitelaw Consulting, making it sole property adviser to West Coast Capital’s £140m USC Group, which will become one of CWM’s largest clients.
Founder Colin Whitelaw will act as a part-time consultant but will be setting up a new non-retail development and investment consultancy with colleagues Chris Ditchfield and Ronnie Meechan.
Savills has also bought 12-strong Bristol-based retail agency Mansfield Elstob Main for an undisclosed sum. The team handles in- and out-of-town agency, investment, leisure and professional work.
It will trade as Savills with immediate effect.
