CWM appoints De Mello to lead new retail consulting arm

Niche agency CWM has hired Jonathan De Mello as an equity partner to lead its new retail consulting division.

De Mello was an executive director at Harper Dennis Hobbs before his departure from the agency earlier this year, as revealed by EG.

His role will include advising retailers looking to optimise their portfolios, as well as landlords requiring commercial due diligence on potential investments.

He has worked as a specialist consultant in the retail and retail property sectors for more than 20 years. He is also a regular conference speaker and an elected member of the KPMG-Ipsos Retail Think Tank.

De Mello will join CWM alongside consultant Louis Brewer, who also joins from HDH.

Scott Murdoch, founding partner at CWM, said: “The creation of CWM Retail Consulting – and Jonathan and Louis joining us – highlights our commitment to our clients to providing a full service offering; from strategic consultancy through to property investment and agency.”
