Dair joins Bilfinger GVA

James Dair, a former Birmingham City Council finance manager, has joined the Midlands office of Bilfinger GVA as head of public sector finance.

In a newly created role, Dair will advise advising public and private sector clients on strategic investment as part of the financial consulting group within the company’s planning, development and regeneration team. He will report to senior director Stephen Hollowood.

Dair spent a decade at the council working on financial structuring and modelling for key projects including Paradise, New Street Station, Grand Central and Icknield Port Loop, followed by a spell as finance and tax director at Lambert Smith Hampton.

He has also acted as financial lead for the Enterprise Zone Revised Investment Plan on behalf of the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership, and the Curzon Street Masterplan.
