Dalata buys Dublin Airport hotel

Dalata Hotel Group has agreed a deal to buy the Radisson Hotel at Dublin Airport from Emerald Investment for €83m (£69m).

The deal sees Dalata acquire CG Hotels Dublin Airport, which holds the long leasehold of the four-star, 229-bedroom hotel.

Dalata said the hotel, which will be rebranded as Clayton, requires “limited initial investment” as it underwent a refurbishment in 2019. It also has two “significant” planning approvals, which Dalata said offer “development opportunities into the future”.

Deputy chief executive Shane Casserly said: “The acquisition of this hotel is a compelling opportunity to secure a strong revenue-generating hotel, in an excellent location. This hotel is well positioned to provide hospitality services to Dublin Airport passengers and the greater north Dublin community, supporting both the local and national economies.”
