Damien Hirst’s Newport Street Gallery in south London has won this year’s Riba Stirling prize for best new building.
The winning architects, Caruso St John, had also been shortlisted for the prize in 2000 and 2006.
The project to create the gallery involved remodelling three listed Victorian industrial buildings and the addition of two new buildings, including one with a saw-tooth roof.
