Dandara Living’s plans to develop a 435-home build-to-rent scheme in Bristol have been given the green light.
The move broadly follows the recommendation given by the planning officer last week, however the planning committee has imposed a condition requiring the developer to ensure that a variety of home sizes are available as affordable housing at all times.
The two-acre development site, opposite Bristol Temple Meads station, comprises the former Robins & Day Peugeot car dealership on Clarence Road and the Victoria House office building on Temple Gate.
The McGregor + Coxall-designed plans, lodged in January last year, are for a building of up to 15 storeys, featuring a mix of one- to three-bedroom flats, a rooftop terrace, residents’ lounge, gym, workspaces, 8,000 sq ft of commercial space and cycle storage.
JLL advised on planning.
