Danish bank buys National Irish and Northern

Danske is buying National Irish Bank and Northern Bank from National Australia Bank (NAB) for £1bn.

Northern Bank is the largest retail bank in Northern Ireland with 95 branches.

NAP is also thought to have considered selling Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks, too.
