Darktrace launches Cambridge search

DarktraceCybersecurity firm Darktrace has appointed Juniper Real Estate to find it a new Cambridge base of 20,000 sq ft to facilitate its expansion.

Its search is expected to take in the city’s northern science cluster. It currently occupies around 5,000 sq ft at Cambridge’s Broers Building.

Darktrace has been rapidly expanding internationally and unveiled its Washington DC headquarters in 2015 after accompanying prime minister David Cameron to the US capital to meet president Barack Obama.

The company also has offices in London, Milan, Paris, New York and San Francisco and counts Virgin Trains and Drax among its clients.

Darktrace is a venture from Autonomy Corporation founder Michael Lynch, who sold the pattern recognition business to Hewlitt-Packard in October 2011 for around £8bn.
