Alistair Darling will deliver a lecture to the property industry on how to navigate the Brexit economy, on the day that Article 50 is triggered.
The former chancellor of the exchequer, who served between 2007 and 2010, during the most turbulent and far-reaching economic crisis the world had seen for 60 years, will be speaking at EG’s annual Peter Wilson Lecture in Cambridge, on 29 March.
With economic and political uncertainty again in the spotlight, Darling will shed light on his experience of the 2007-2009 recession, and explain how the property industry could be affected by the future economic climate.
Downing Street confirmed this week that Article 50 will be triggered next week, marking the formal proceedings for the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
The annual EG/Peter Wilson Lecture will take place at 6pm on 29 March at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
The lecture is free to attend. Click here to register.
The event is being held in association with Savills.
