Capita Land has signed two new leases with datacentre operators Equinix UK and IoMart to occupy a combined 15,000 sq ft of space at Reynolds House in Hulme, Manchester.
The deal represents an annual rental income in excess of £1m per year.
Reynolds House is a 20,000 sq ft bespoke data centre, situated strategically close to the main fibre optic national link. The University of Manchester occupies the remaining part of the building.
Andrew Stride, director at Lambert Smith Hampton, which acted on behalf of Capita Land, said: “The ongoing digital revolution taking place across every aspect of daily life is fuelling continued demand for data storage. Facilities such as Reynolds House are now an essential part of national infrastructure and continue to be in high demand from both occupiers and investors.”
