Savills has appointed David Jackson as head of its sustainability arm, Savills Earth.
The energy and sustainability advisory service consists of more than 80 specialists in the field, advising clients on their eco-goals.
Jackson (pictured), a property industry veteran of three decades, will pick up the role from his current post as head of national planning.
He said: “The transition to net zero alone raises many possibilities, from creating new futures for existing buildings through retrofitting to applying new technologies to improve property performance and changing how we manage land to deliver nature-based solutions.”
James Sparrow, chief executive of Savills UK and EMEA, added: “Savills Earth brings together our broad-ranging team of experts to deliver the very best sustainability strategies through practical advice that transforms working practices and exceeds sustainability targets and commitments.”
