Fitness firm David Lloyd Leisure has invested £9.3m in a new club in Newbury, Berkshire.
Due to open in December this year next to Newbury Rugby Club, Monks Lane, the 35,520 sq ft site will be the group’s 92nd UK property.
Construction company Pellikaan has started work on the area, which will include tennis and sports facilities, as well as a new fitness centre.
David Lloyd Leisure’s regional manager, Andrew Davill, said: “We are very excited about this investment in Newbury, which will provide the town with a fantastic club offering unrivalled facilities, services, programmes and expertise for members to achieve their health and fitness goals.”
