David Partridge joins UK Green Building Council

Argent boss David Partridge has been appointed to the board of trustees at the UK Green Building Council

Partridge’s role at Argent includes overall responsibility for the business and he has been credited with being one of the earliest champions of sustainability in the built environment.

Alastair Bell has also been appointed to the board. Bell is the managing director at British Gypsum, a Saint-Gobain company, which has five large manufacturing sites across the UK. In his 15 years at the company he has engaged with Green Building Councils across the globe, as well as with WorldGBC. Saint-Gobain is also the strategic partner of UK-GBC’s learning and development programme.

The appointments coincide with UK-GBC publishing details of its ambitions for 2027, in a document that sets out its vision for the next decade.
