David Tennant has made a surprise appearance at a community meeting, appealing to be allowed to add an extra storey to his five-bedroom home in Chiswick, west London.
An application by the former Doctor Who actor was rejected earlier this year, but Hounslow’s full planning committee will review it in December.
Tennant told the meeting that the extra storey would be respectful to the area’s character and that he did not want to leave the area. The West Chiswick and Gunnersby Society opposes his plans and has suggested a loft conversion that would not change the appearance of the house from the outside.
