Andrew Davis, the founder of the defunct Von Essen hotel chain, has resumed ownership of two of the properties.
James Caan had bought Stone Easton Park, near Bath, and Sharrow Bay, in the Lakes, last year and there were rumours at the time that he was acting for Davis. It has now emerged that Caan has “sold his shares” to Davis, according to The Times’s City Diary.
