Dawnay Day has lifted its stake in Austin Reed.
The Financial Times says the stake has risen to 21.7%. The Independent says 18.3%.
The news sparked renewed takeover speculation at the fashion retailer. Austin Reed refused to comment on Dawnay Day’s intentions.
