db symmetry plans 120,000 sq ft shed

Construction-silhouette-THUMBdb symmetry has unveiled plans to build a 120,000 sq ft shed at a former manufacturing facility in Huyton Business Park, Liverpool.

Plans include the demolition of an existing 25,000 sq ft office building to improve the loading and yard areas at the 9.4-acre site.

A large proportion of mezzanine offices are to be removed from within the warehouse, and level access and dock-level loading provisions would be added.

Simon Dixon, associate development director at db symmetry, said: “With the severe shortage of top-specification secondhand units of 100,000 sq ft plus, we are expecting a strong level of demand for what will be a unique proposition.”

The site is at the Tarbock Island interchange at junction six of the M62 and J1 of the M57.

Work will begin in April 2016 with completion scheduled for September 2016, subject to planning consent.
