De Vere Resort Ownership has won detailed consent for a £50m golf and leisure resort on a 300-acre (121ha) site by Loch Lomond, Scotland.
The Carrick at Cameron House will be located just over a mile north of De Vere’s Cameron House Hotel.
It will comprise 78 lodges and 18 flats within mansion houses, a championship-standard golf course, a spa and extensive leisure facilities.
One-third of the development will be committed to a nature reserve for the protection and enhancement of local wildlife.
Craig Mitchell, managing director of the company, said: “We have been afforded the title of Scotland’s first National Park; this makes us very proud.”
The full-build schedule will be completed in 2006 with construction starting imminently for the golf course.
The first phase of luxury two- and three-bedroom lodges and the mansion houses will start in August.
The Loch Lomond resort will be the fourth ownership development in the De Vere portfolio.
It also owns, Slaley Hall, Northumberland and Belton Woods, Lincolnshire.
