Deal to deliver 4,000 Hull homes signed

house-plans-THUMB.jpegA deal has been signed to deliver 4,000 homes across a £500m programme in Hull.

A consortium, made up of Hull city council, Keepmoat Homes, Strata Homes, Home Group and commercial property specialists Priority Space, aims to regenerate huge swathes of the city.

The first phase of the 13-year plan will be a 67-home project in East Hull with the scheme eventually stretching throughout East riding.

Council portfolio holder for infrastructure John Black said: “Securing partners to work with the council to deliver the most widespread housing regeneration programme in the city is a significant step forward for Hull.

“We, along with our partners within the consortium, are working hard to deliver a range of new high-quality homes to meet the needs of the residents of Hull.

“Not only does this programme provide the much-needed housing but also offers long-term training and job opportunities for our local and skilled workforce, which is crucial for a thriving city like Hull and part of our city plan ambitions.”
